"Skin" is a metaphorical word which has long insisted on the language of architecture and, more generally, in the world of design. Often in English, “skin” is the subject of theoretical reflection and research, perfect title for many architectural articles, a la page label of exhibitions and events. The term skin is often associated with another word with an universal meaning: design. In short, it seems that everything is skin and that designing the skin is synonymous with attention to design in the general meaning of sensitivity to beauty.
